The decision not to bring Pakistani students back from China is justified.
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister's Special Assistant for Overseas Zulfi Bukhari has said that it was a difficult decision for the government not to bring back Pakistani students and the government has proved timely by making the right decision.
According to details, the parents of Pakistani students in China met with Assistant Special Minister Zulfi Bukhari and informed about the students' difficulties.
Speaking on the occasion, Zulfi Bukhari said that Pakistani students are the focus of attention in China, the world is witnessing China fighting the coronavirus best, China is the only country where the Coronavirus is decreasing.
He said that it was a difficult decision for the government not to bring back Pakistani students but now the time is proving the government's decision was right, you have promised that you will take care of the children in China.
Zulfi Bukhari said that out of 1179, 993 children have been sent financial assistance, 935 children have confirmed receipt of funds, 15 days aid for 1179 students will be deported tomorrow.
During the meeting, parents complained of non-availability of medicines for Pakistani students in China, which ordered Zulfi Bukhari to submit a report of all the students next week, while ensuring that the medicines were supplied.
Earlier, the federal government had decided to send Pakistani food to Pakistani students trapped in Wuhan, China. To this end, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is sending ready-made food to Pakistanis based in Wuhan.
It is to be remembered that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed every Pakistani citizen, including students in Wuhan, to take special care. The Prime Minister had said that the Foreign Office and Foreign Missions were in constant contact with their peers in China.
