Peshawar Zalmi

president of Pakistan Arif Alvi for consideration of Darren Sammy for honorary
citizenship of Pakistan as Sammay is the most cheered and loved foreign cricketer
in Pakistan and he is the first player who was ready to visit Pakistan.
On 23rd
March after the closure of PSL 2020 honorary citizenship to Darren Sammy and
the highest civilian award will be awarded by President of Pakistan Arif Alvi
Javed Afridi told Geo. Tv
that Sammy has unconditional love for Pakistan and this appreciation of his
love will encourage other players who are here to support Pakistan cricket.
The Windies player Darren
Sammy expressed his view on this honor by saying, “My love for Pakistan is
natural, my contribution to this country is pure. I don’t need a passport to
show my love for this country. All players who have supported this step have
contributed to where we are today. It is good that it has been recognized, but
I did not do it for myself it is for my affection with the people and for the
love I get from here”
