Half of the monthly payment of Bangladesh’s national cricketers will be donated to government’s relief fund to fight against COVID-19.
27 cricketers are going
to donate their half monthly salaries which will become the amount of almost 3
million takas (5.5 million PKR) after tax reduction the amount will be almost
2.5 takas (PKR 4.8 m).
Corona Virus is growing
in Bangladesh too and cricket players are trying to spread awareness against
COVID-19 and to encourage public to take the necessary steps to prevent this pandemic.
To urged people to take
required medical protocols Tamim Iqbal ODI skipper said,” If we can take the responsibilities
and try to make contribution wholeheartedly rather than criticizing others,
then we can win the war against coronavirus, Everyone please stay home, stay
safe. Be well and keep our country safe.”
