Lockdown for three weeks in the UK.
Britain has announced a lockdown to stop the spread of the Corona virus by banning shops and gatherings of more than two people for three weeks.
Addressing TV on Monday evening, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that all 'unnecessary shops' would be closed. He urged the people to stay at home, citing the steps taken to combat the Corona virus in the country.
"I am giving the British people a modest direction, you should stay home," he said.
"The most important thing we can do is prevent the disease from spreading to homes," he added.
Boris Johnson's announcement came at a time when the government was ignoring social distance orders to prevent the virus from spreading.
Holidays could be seen all over the country in parks and other recreation areas, requiring strenuous action.
Under the new measures, the British Prime Minister has said that goods are allowed to go out to buy necessities, exercise, medical necessities and visit the office.
However, clothing, electronics shops, libraries, synagogues will remain closed. Marriage and birth ceremonies will also be banned but not at the funeral.
Parks will remain open, but Boris Johnson said, "If you do not follow the rules, the police will have the power to enforce them, which will include a fine."
