Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) planned to form provincial and city cricket association to track the domestic cricket system.
Currently no cricket association
is working at provisional and city level. According to PCB Six provisional and
90 city cricket association will be formed to revive the domestic cricket.
Prime Minister Imran
Khan reduce the number of 16 regional bodies to 6 provisional bodies namely
Sindh, Central Punjab, Southern Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and
Northern.
Due to corona Virus
pandemic all sport activities including cricket are suspended this provide a
great opportunity to PCB to utilize this time in announcing the formation of 6 Provisional
and 90 city cricket associations to revive the domestic cricket.
According to PCB
official most of the work of formation of new provisional and city cricket associations
has been finished and under a phase wise programme they will become working
from upcoming month.
