Quetta Gladiators win the opening match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, Season 6 against Islamabad United by three wickets.
Sensation of the match
reached to its peak at the very first ball of the match when Mohammad Nawaz
caught the wicket of Colin Munro. After getting that blow Dawid Malan and Luke
Ronchi show their talent and by adding 38 runs on 22 balls they rebuild the
innings for Islamabad United in this crucial time.
This partnership was
broke with the fall of Luke Ronchi after scoring 23 runs. Malan took the
responsibility and for third wicket by scoring quick runs he added 68 runs to
the score board of Islamabad United. Hussain Talat was the third batsman sent
to pavilion at 19 runs by Ahmed Shazad off Mohammad Hasnain. Next wicket of
Islamabad United that fall was of Colin Ingram followed by Malan’s dismissal.
Malan showed good cricket by scoring 64 runs on 50 deliveries with the help of
three sixes and five fours.
Last six wickets of
Islamabad united were lost for just 41 runs. For Quetta Gladiator Ben Cutting
did four overs and got three wickets by giving 31 runs while Mohammad Hasnain
sent four Isalmabad United’s batsmen to pavilion by giving 25 runs.
Drastic batting start
of Quetta Gladiators begin when Mohammad Musa caught one after the other three
wickets of Gladiators and trapped the team Quetta in a crucial situation.
Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Azam showed highly responsible bating attitude and
struggle hard in the partnership of fourth wicket. They made the foundation of
team Quetta’s victory by adding 62 runs. Highest score of 59 runs was scored by
Azam. Sarfaraz scored 21 runs and Sohail Khan added 18 runs to the score board.
Gladiator’s victory was
confirmed with Ben Cutting smashed six on long-off at the ball of Shadab Khan
while nine balls was still remaining.
