Balochistan government writes letter to federal for army deployment.
QUETTA: The Balochistan government has written a letter to the federal government for deployment of the Corona virus to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
According to the details, the Balochistan government wrote a letter to the federal requesting that the army be deployed in Balochistan.
The letter written by the provincial government to the interior ministry states that army assistance is needed to protect COVID-19 under Article 245; civil powers should be given to the army under Article 245 of the constitution.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has extended holidays to government offices in the wake of the Karuna virus. All departments except 7 have been ordered to remain closed temporarily.
It may be recalled that the Sindh government has also sought help from the army in deciding Lock down to stop the spread of Corona. Lock down was decided at a high level meeting, after which the Sindh government sent a letter to the Federal Home Minister. It said that under Article 245, the army should be asked to assist civil administration.
In this regard, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah took the civil and military leadership into confidence.
