Dr Osama Riaz was serving at the Quarantine Center, located at Padi Bangla, a pilgrimage of visitors from Tufan to Gilgit-Baltistan before being infected with the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan Minister for Law and Corona Focal Person Mohammad Aurangzeb told the BBC that when the victims started coming from the inspection, the then-Gilgit-Baltistan government had established several quarantine centers. One of them was young doctor Osama Riaz.
He said, 'Osama Riaz kept checking patients for several hours at Quarantina Camp. He inspected patients for longer than his duty hours and continued working despite exhaustion. He went home to rest on Friday night, but did not wake up at his scheduled time in the morning, when the family went into the room and saw that he was found unconscious. '
According to Mohammad Aurangzeb, Dr Osama Riaz was taken to the hospital when he was found to have serious medical problems in his brain and kidneys while Corona also came back positive in the tests. A medical board was set up to treat them.

According to Dr. Usama Riaz's cousin and manager of National Bank Gilgit Shah Faisal, Dr. Osama Riaz was a resident of Chalas. His father, Muhammad Riaz, is the deputy secretary in the local government. They are two brothers and two sisters.
He got his early education in glasses and after that he got admission in the Bahawalpur Medical and Dental College in 2013/14 after passing the Intermediate Degree from Gilgit Public School. After completing the house job from Bahawalpur, Gilgit-Baltistan joined the health department.
According to Shah Faisal, on February 20, Dr. Osama Riaz made FSCP Part One clear for the first time. He was very intelligent, very sincere in his studies and career. '
He added that 'he thought he would go to the US after doing FSCP where he would return to Gilgit-Baltistan after doing some courses and serve his own people.'
He said that Dr. Osama had been serving in Gilgit-Baltistan for almost a year.

Not suitable facilities available in Gilgit Hospital

Shah Faisal said that when the family found Dr Osama Riaz in unconscious state, he was first taken to CMH Gilgit. Where they were immediately transferred to the ventilator. He was later shifted to Gilgit Hospital. But neuro surgeons were not available at Gilgit Hospital. The CT scan and the MIR machine were damaged there for two months. We have repeatedly requested everyone to be given Islamabad airlift in any case. The neuro surgeon should be called, but sadly not all the facilities were given to him. '
Health sources in Gilgit-Baltistan said that Dr Osama Riaz had been provided full facilities. All kinds of tests have been done. There was no neglect.

Dr. Osama wanted to save his people

Shah Faisal said, "There are more doctors in our family when Corona situation arose. I phoned Dr. Osama Riaz and said that the situation is that the young doctors will have to fight on the frontline at this time." What are the intentions?
